Fut on Switch war nicht mit den Versionen auf PS4 und Xbox One identisch und erforderte eigene Entwicklungsressourcen, um eine leicht abgespeckte Version zu erstellen, die die weniger leistungsstarke Hardware des Switch berücksichtigt.

Die Umstellung von dieser auf eine Legacy Edition-Version ist jedoch gewaltig, da die Switch-Versionen von Fut 18 und 19 im Vergleich zu den Angeboten der Vorjahre beachtliche Verbesserungen erfahren haben.

Es ist nicht klar, ob diese Legacy-Edition eine der von EA für Fut 20 versprochenen taktischen oder KI-Änderungen enthalten wird.
